Adding A Small Percent Service Fee to Transactions on Shopify POS

Has anyone figured out how to  add a 3% service fee charge to the Shopify POS? We could have easily charged the customer with this fee for years. I can't find any apps that seem to work. Can one be developed?

How can we get Shopify to make adding a service fee percentage standard in their POS app (and for online)?  Our ultimate goal would be to charge this fee ONLY in Shopify POS and not on our online store. It would be great to have a button on the Shopify POS screen to either apply the fee or not, so as to not charge our cash paying customers and also to waive the fee if we choose to.

Hi there - with a customization/custom dev this can be done. But you might also want to take a look at this app that claims to work with POS exclusively (or inclusively with Online Store channel).

All third party apps (including the one linked here) add time to the checkout and don't work consistently.

Every other POS system I use/consult on can easily add a % upcharge to the shopping cart.

PLEASE IMPLEMENT THIS!!!

This is a must have. We have to add 1% Arts&Entertainment fee for our community and it has been a whip talking to Shopify about adding a % fee. This isn’t rocket science. Give us option to add % fees!!!!

Install pfand. It definitely has bugs and issues periodically, but it has gotten the job done for us. The customer support is good too. Watch out for the fee being way to high (like $1000+ dollars), as that happens periodically only with specific items that we sell. The other issue is that sometimes the app has just been down and not working.
