All things Shopify and commerce
On both of my Macs the products page in the admin section loads super slow. This seems to have began once Shopify switched over to the latest updates earlier this year. I constantly get a message "webpage is using significant energy". This problem is prohibiting me from doing anything related to managing/updating/editing products as it takes forever. Clearing out my cache, closing out the page, restarting the page or the computer doesn't help. The fact that this doesn't happen to any other websites and happens of both computers makes it just a Shopify problem. Anyone having similar issues? Can't seem to find any discussion relating to this issue.
note: only happens on the products tab. not on the home, orders, customers, analytics etc tabs

I just downloaded Firefox and everything works fine. This problem is directly connected to Safari. I am running Safari 15.6.1. This is obviously a problem with several users. I'd appreciate feedback on how to correct this issue. I'd rather not have to switch browsers every time I have to access my Shopify dashboard. The problem did start to occur with the last Shopify update. Please advise.
Hi @solatzo
Thank you for those details and I am glad to see that you were able to do some local troubleshooting to try resolving this issue.
Since it is still persisting for you I would recommend reaching out to our live support to see if they can replicate it as well. It's possible that this issue is isolated to a few businesses vs more widespread or it could even be an issue with your internet service provider.
Before contacting live support I do recommend power cycling (unplug for 3 minutes then plug back in) your internet modem just to be safe.

Thank you, I started using Chrome and haven't had any issues since.
