steps to reproduce:

  1. open browser (firefox 132.0.2 64bit / windows 10 pro 22h2) - EDIT - happens in chrome 131.0.6778.86 64bit too
  2. go to admin.shopify.com
  3. log in
  4. see brief flash of interface, before displaying blank white page titled 'your stores'

checking the network panel, doesn't seem like any resources are failing to load - but clearly something is going wrong rendering the site.

clearing browser cache / cookies, hard-refresh, closing opening browser, logging out and logging in - nothing changes this behavior.

This issue seems browser-related. Here are quick steps to troubleshoot:

  1. Disable Browser Extensions: Some extensions may block Shopify scripts.
  2. Try Incognito/Private Mode: This disables extensions and cached data.
  3. Update Browsers: Ensure both Firefox and Chrome are fully updated.
  4. Test Another Device/Network: Check if the issue is device or network-specific.
  5. Check Console Errors: Open DevTools (F12) > Console for rendering errors.

I disagree - when a website is broken in every common browser, that's a problem with the website, not the browser

 

I already tried all 5 of those things you mention, I even tried Edge, and Safari on iPhone, no effect. (I will attach the network panel logs but I don't see anything worrisome there either.)

I just registered this new account, I don't even know what my store URL might be - as far as I know, I haven't been given the opportunity to set it up yet. This is a real discouraging first experience with Shopify.

Any resolution to this? I'm having the same issue. Tried all browsers, incognito mode, cleared cache. Seems like an issue on shopify's end.

I tried going through contacting their support and I got the exact same list of troubleshooting suggestions from the ai chatbot and the supposedly real person. no luck. It's kinda crazy how bad of a showing this is for such a big product, it's really making me wonder whether I should take on shopify work in the future.
