Hi,
we are in the process of setting up a cooperation with American Express. To be able to connect the offer with our store, AmEx requires a so-called AmEx Merchant ID.
We have asked shopify support for this but they can only provide a shopify merchant ID.
does anyone here know how to obtain an AmEx merchant ID or which apps to use that will be able to provide this ID to us?

Thanks for getting in contact about this. I can appreciate how important it is to have everything in order for your business, and I'd be happy to provide some insight on this for you.
I did some digging and checked this out with our internal team for you. It's not currently possible to add your AMEX merchant ID to Shopify. However, I sincerely understand that you need this option feature, and I also know that others have asked for this feature to be possible. With that, I am happy to have passed on a feature request with our developers to see if this functionality can be added in the future. While I can't guarantee if or when it will be added, I'm happy to have passed along your suggestions that would provide better services to the Shopify platform. Thank you for bringing this to our attention, our Developers appreciate the feedback we get as it helps our platform going forward!
Aside from this, how are things going on your store? Have you checked your Analytics lately to see how your store is tracking?

Regrettably, I regret to inform you that there hasn't been any progress or development on the AMEX ID. I understand that this may be disappointing news.
While we continuously strive to meet the needs of our users, there are times when certain features may not align with our current roadmap or priorities. However, please know that your feedback is valuable to us, and we will carefully consider it as we evaluate future updates and enhancements to our platform. I have gone ahead and also added your feedback with our developers for future consideration.
