Hey there - I'm have been posting videos on my product pages. I need to see if customers are actually interacting with them ... as they take a lot of time to create. I can't seem to find anything in the Shopify analytics ... and the google analytics seems to be set up to track views etc. for youtube embedded videos ...
I may well be missing something obvious here .. THANKS!

Thanks for your query.
You can track video engagement via google tag manager.
steps needs to follow:
1. Connect Google tag manager GTM with your store using GTM script in custom pixel
2. Enable all variables related to video engagement
3. create a trigger for event in datalayer using youtube video trigger
4. Create event tag for each action you want to track like(video start, video progress, video complete)

It would be better to hire an GTM expert.
without GTM you can not track the custom events. Apps can track standard events.
