All things Shopify and commerce
Hello all,
We have implemented Shopify in a way that involves fairly constant creation of products (10 to 30 per day) via an automated process - these are classes that customers will be registering for. However actually getting these products to be live on our Shopify storefront requires a human being to log into Shopify and set these products' Sales Channels. This seems like something that could be and should be automated with either the REST API or GraphQL, but it seems like that particular piece was deprecated per this knowledgebase article: publishablePublish (shopify.dev)
Does anyone know a way to do this, or does anyone inside Shopify know whether and when this feature will be added back in?
Hi @Pilates-AdamE ,
Automating the process of setting Sales Channels fro products via REST API or GraphQL has been deprecated at the moment.
Shopify is constantly improving its platform, so you need to stay updated for any future changes.
In the meantime consider exploring apps or consulting Shopify experts for another alternative solutions which may be helpful for you as well.
