We buy postage through Shopify are having a heck of a time getting our invoices to pay. We've tried ACH withdrawals, paypal, using different cards, etc. and nothing seems to work. They all just say "failed". We have a case open with support, but it's been almost 24 hours and it is still unresolved. My messages asking for updates have gone unanswered. We've got employees sitting around and almost 400 orders that we need to fulfill, but we can't buy postage. This is very frustrating. I've never found it so difficult to give someone money.
Our support agent mentioned that they had the devs working on a solution for merchants who are experiencing this issue, which leads me to believe we're not the only ones. Just curious if anyone else is having this problem.

recently, I saw there have been reports from other merchants experiencing the same issue with Shopify’s billing system, especially for postage purchases
Hmm, while waiting for Shopify's fix, consider purchasing shipping labels directly through Pirate Ship, ShipStation, or USPS/UPS and manually fulfilling the orders in Shopify. This keeps your shipping running without further delays.
Or, if you're eligible for Shopify balance, transferring funds there and using it for payment might bypass the issue.

I and multiple others, have same issue.
Has your issue been resolved? They reported it resolved yesterday, so contact them again. My support agent reported it resolved again this morning, but in fact it is not.
It just started working suddenly around 6:15am CST while I was on a chat with support. I'm in a label printing frenzy now. We'll see if it holds.

Thank you for the workaround ideas. I think we may try ShipStation. We were able to fill our Amazon orders through Amazon Shipping, but we still have 100+ website orders hanging over.
I went ahead and applied for Shopify credit. We run our business on cash, and I am personally against debt (Dave Ramsey'er here). But at this point, I'm willing to toss all my personal convictions if it gets me through this issue 😂
