By contacting support, they can log the details of your issue and escalate as needed. If it is a part of a larger issue, then the details of your issue and the store information will help them isolate the issue and work towards a fix.
As there are several replies in this thread, I will be marking my reply as a solution for visibility purposes for any new viewers, but by no means, am I suggesting this issue is resolved.

Issue is not browser specific.
Its not computer specific and occurs in 2 different locations.
I already started a ticket on it.

@Victor this was just now. In the middle of editing products. It gives me this 'leave page' (when I don't try to), then goes to the login screen and loses everything I was working on. Your chat team was absolutely worthless and told me this is 'normal'. How is this at all normal? In years of using Shopify this was never an issue until these past two weeks.
This is also exactly what happened to our storefront as well. I have been told that its our fault because we have too many users on the same account (even though we have been working like this for years). The next two times I have reached out they only tell me that its a known problem and they are working to fix it. But this issue continues to get worse each week here on my end.
@Victor this is also happening to me for the past week (NEVER has before). It is happening across multiple devices, I'm using Chrome. I've tried clearing cache. I can be in the middle of working on something actively, like creating a new product, and it will send me to the login screen and lose everything I was working on. Sometimes it will give me an error first or do the 'are you sure you want to leave page'... when I did not ask to leave the page.
It is happening several times per day now. I am not doing anything differently at all than I have for the past few years of using Shopify. This is definitely on Shopify's end.
Chat support was not helpful AT ALL.
This is also happening to me all the time! Im always forcibly logged out when I reopen my computer the following morning. I’d say I’m logged anywhere from 5-10 times a day (6-8 hours working time).
this is not normal at all and I’ve been using Shopify for five years now.
anyone figure out a good solution yet?
I've had the cloud flare page for weeks - still getting logged out endlessly. I think we all deserve a big discount. Time consuming and annoying.
Hi Victor. I read this whole thread because we are getting logged out of our shopify account randomly several times a day, every day. Also when we get the login popup and try to log in, it says something like page not found. We have to close the browser tab and open a new one to be able to log back in. Happens on Macs, PCs and different browsers. Below at some point it says the issue was fixed but it has not been fixed, but no more replies from you or another Shopify tech. Can we get an update on this issue please? Thanks.
@Maralyce they have refused to answer on this thread for weeks. The only way is to contact Shopify chat. I'm still in touch with one and they are still trying to fix it. I've been forwarding these comments that people leave so that they are aware it is still actively happening to many people.
Forward them that the problem has gotten worse in the last 24 hours. Aside from me having to close the windows and re-search for Shopify window because it won’t let me log in after being logged out.
it now is popping up so white page with a cloudfare logo with the message “Your connection needs to be verified before you can proceed”. Cloudfare is web security company and I’m worried to think that someone or something is actively trying to log into my store.

I'm guessing there trying to use cloudfare to filter requests to the their server.
There most likely being hit with DOS attack.
Forwarded! And yes, I am also getting that new window too. The cloudflare one started for me 2-3 days ago.
I just successfully opened a new work ticket through the chat - whether it will do anything I don't know but they did give me a link to the support ticket but you can only open it if you are a Shopify employee!
Oh yes, I got one of those smart chat support people that sent me that 3 times even after I explained to them that you have to be a shopify employee (which you'd THINK they would already know).
Exactly the same thing happening to me. Can be iPad, phone, or PC with different browsers. Random log out.
Thinking of the nightmare this will create when 2FA becomes mandated.
This happens to me all day every day lately. Switched browsers, switched computers. Nothing helps. It's really annoying when doing something like buying postage. You have to start over from the beginning.
Just found this thread. I reported the issue last week because it is driving me mad, especially when I lose work when the system decides to log me out when I save something like a blog. I was told that it was a known issue and that a workaround would be to use the app which would mean using my phone to create multiple products, write blogs, manage shipping etc - hardly practical. Surely Shopify operate some form of change management / release management and could roll back the changes to give us a stable platform again. I've always praised Shopify, saying it isnt the cheapest but it is a solid platform. That view is quickly changing

Yep same issue aswell! i've tried reaching out to shopify multiple times and no reply. they usually reply to my tickets but mustn't want to try and fix this issue? 🤔
@Maurice_CMCGold @JustinNJ yep they don't ever care. my 'chat advisor' hasn't responded to me in several days now that I asked to be transferred because they clearly don't understand the issue. they keep sending me a link to Shopifys internal (employee only) website. I've tried telling them several times and they just keep sending the same link that you need a shopify employee login for.
Same issue. Started last month.
Multiple computers, multiple browsers, multiple locations.
More often than not, if I get up from the computer, to help with anything in the store, I have to relog in when I sit back down. If I simply hit the button to sign back in, it generally errors and tells me something like the store doesn't exist. I back out, try again, and it logs back in...but sends me to the dashboard away from the page I was working on.
Yes, that's the exact scenario I get as well.
Make me log in then go to a dead page and have to back out.
Whats interesting is I was getting the 2-factor requests randomly when working from home (that part has at least not been happening anymore)
But I was not getting them in my office.
mine did that too on the 2FA for a day or so. It wouldn't let my one computer login for several hours because it kept saying 'code expired' even within seconds. that part stopped for me too, but ever since this stupid login window keeps showing up.
I am having the same exact issue and this is beyond annoying, at least I'm not alone.
@Jane_Bartel I have a feeling there are a lot of people having this problem. I know others personally are. But most people don't know this discussion board even exists.
I'm getting kicked off all the time now, almost every 10 minutes.
@Hobbies mine does seem to be getting worse. It has told me to login twice in the last 10 minutes while I was actively doing things on it.
Was happening to me as well. I started a chat and luckily I was put in touch with a really awesome Shopify person, Carlo P. Carlo confirmed it was a known problem that was being worked on but didn't have an estimated timeline. Carlo kept in contact with me and was clear and concise in providing information and updates. Last Tuesday Carlo informed me the developers released a fix that should solve the issues and so far things are running smoothly (fingers crossed, knock on wood) since then. I am sorry you have had a much different experience.
@TheYakYarnery interesting. I spoke with another chat person today, and they said they are still working on a fix but didn't have a timeline since it is a 'complex issue' related to how logins are stored in their system. The system that does it supposedly is getting 'overloaded' and glitching, which is causing this. I hope it gets fixed soon.
I’ve had a few glitches since I was told it was fixed but nothing like it had been. It kicked me out maybe 4 times this week. I noticed every day something is different within the system. Product pages change which is the most annoying. The variants are now pages instead of a long list. The bulk editor will only pull up one page at a time so is it really a bulk editor now🤷🏼♀️ Shopify was so slick when I started with it and now they’ve over complicated it. I’m really beginning to hate technology. Have you started researching other options?
@TheYakYarnery OMG the variants! I already complained to my chat person and was given the same BS 'thank you for your input' crap. It is yet another STUPID change that just makes our lives more difficult. I swear their developers all need to be fired. Or make them run a shop for a month and see how necessary these features are that they keep hiding for the sake of 'make it clean'. I don't need it to be pretty, I need to not have to do 3 steps that used to be 1 step.
This has been happening to us for about 2 weeks now- logged out constantly, screen says 'no such page', anything we are working on is erased and we have to start over. After multiple chats with support ice been told the same thing- known issue, working on it, we understand how frustrating this must be etc etc. Every time its a new support person who acts like they have the solutions so its like 30 minutes of explaining the same things, tried all the same 'fixes'.
Its so aggravating.
This has been happening to me since Christmas. Initially maybe 1-2 times x day but the frequency is increasing - I think I've had to log back in circa 10 times so far today. I am losing work and losing time having to repeat that work. It is incredibly annoying. I'm sure we've all cleared caches, tried different browsers and done all of the things the Shopify help pages suggest. At this stage, it's not us, it's Shopify. Please fix it
Multiple time a days, everyday. Getting over it. Shopify needs to get this sorted.
They sent me a message last night claiming it was fixed.... but it still happened to me already this morning.
It just happened to me twice in 5 minutes - lost my info and I had to retype but before I could even save I was already logged out. This is so frustrating.
I keep getting logged out as well for several weeks now. I will be in the middle of updating a product and I keep getting logged out. Shopify support was of no help. They wanted me to take a video of when it happens. I told them it was random, how can I take a video of a random event? It is very frustrating and it is increasing in frequency.
