We set our USD pricing for items based on the foreign exchange rate at the time we pay for them (ie based on our cost). We have always put USD into the CSV file we were uploading with all of the product info. and it would populate the pricing for USA customers.
Shopify has shut this down.
Process is now a huge headache. Taking us about 2.5 hours to do this now - see below.
Step one: upload new items (same as usual)
Step two: download US catalog (all items we sell in US = in our case, all items)
Step three: find the items needing US pricing, insert new price
Step four: the download from step two does not include "Title" column = we have to copy titles from step one into our downloaded file from step two
Step five: re-upload file from step four
THIS SEEMS NUTS.
Anyone have any better ideas?
Hi @OEHT
Use the Matrixify app to simplify the upload/edit process or automate it with a Google Sheet script using Shopify's API. Both will cut your time from hours to minutes. For now, use the product Handle to match titles with Excel formulas like VLOOKUP to avoid manual copying.
