API POST a product with a lot of variants with images in ONE GO

Hi gurus,
Big problem for me.

I need to create products with api calls.

Lot of them.

Each one has a lot of variants, each variants is associated with an image. 

Is it possible to post all the product in a single post call? Without having to use the returned id to load images or to associate a variant to an image?

I am on a schedule and I have a lot of other concurrent calls for other reason. So I do not want to overload the bucket.

Reading the api documentation is unclear if the examples are just suggestions or if they are the templates I have to stick with.
