Apple Pay Checkout from Desktop via QR Code (All browsers, PC + Mac)

Will Shopify be adding this or is it present and hiding from me?  I found it on a website that I use, and it lets me checkout from my PC using Apple Pay.  I'm using my Apple Card so this results in 2% back vs 1% back.

Seems convenient too for people that might not have their CC information on them or want to use their Apple Cash.

You’re right it would be amazing to tap “Buy with Apple Pay” straight from any desktop browser, but here’s the scoop:

Shopify does support Apple Pay out of the box, but Apple limits that button to Safari on Mac and iOS devices. Even if you enable it in Settings Payments, it simply won’t show up on Windows browsers like Chrome or Edge.

Some clever merchants work around this by displaying a QR code at checkout that you scan with your iPhone or Apple Watch to complete payment, but there’s no hidden Shopify setting that unlocks Apple Pay on a PC natively. It’s an Apple restriction, not a Shopify one.

If you’d love a smoother desktop experience for your buyers, you might look into adding Google Pay or other accelerated checkout options that do work across all browsers. That way anyone on PC still gets a one-click payment flow even if it isn’t Apple Pay.

We already have all of the other ones implemented, but I would like to get a plugin if possible that allows the scan to pay.  Maybe it is native to WooCommerce or one of the others ones.  Unsure what platform this site is on (uscutter.com).
