All things Shopify and commerce
Hi all,
Requesting some help on a problem I have.
Some of the products that are archived on Shopify still showing on my Facebook catalog ads. Is there a way to exclude them systematically from the catalog ?
Thank you !
Julie
Hello @JIS ,
I believe your shopify store or facebook catalogue are not correctly configured and synchronised may because of this archived products are showing in the Facebook catalogue.
According to me the best way is to manually remove the archived product from the facebook catalogue.
Please follow the below mentioned steps to manually archived products from your Facebook catalogue(Commerce Manager).
- Go to the Commerce Manager and select your catalogue.
- Open the Catalogue tab and go to Items.
- Click the checkboxes next to any items that you want to archive or make active.
- Select Archive or Make active. Select Archive or Make active again to confirm, if needed.
Kindly note: When you archive items manually in the commerce manager , it will override your shopify store changes. If you want to make those items active again, you'll need to do this manually in the Commerce manager. Changes to this field from your shopify platform won't resume syncing to Commerce Manager for those items until you do this.
I hope the solution helps you.
Please let me know if you have any query.
Thank you.
I recently ran into this same issue within one of my accounts as well, we found out the reason they were still being sent to Meta / IG was due to the sales channels still being selected within the product details. Where it shows the sales channel options for the product (store, shop, Facebook & Instagram), you want to deselect Facebook & Instagram. You can also do this in bulk with products rather than doing it individually on Meta. Hope this helps!
