I'm new to Shopify selling. Most of my 4ish months was spent working on the store and products. I've spent a fair amount of time getting Google Merchant Center and Meta Commerce Manager setup. I hired a marketing consultant for some help with Meta marketing and her suggestion was to send all conversions to my store and not use MCM at all. All of my sales have come from Meta so far.

But it has me thinking if keep Google Merchant Center or Meta's equivalent is worth it? I have setup and Amazon Seller Central account and was considering setting it up. My Marketing consultant suggest TikTok. I'm a one person shop and need to be mindful of where I focus resources..

I'm curious what others have done. Have you dropped or expanded into new channels? Are you having success in any of the channels mentioned? When did you know if was time to cut bait? Do you have a ratio of where marketing dollars go (2:1 Meta-to-Google)?

Thanks!

That said, a lot of sellers don’t realize Meta Commerce Manager (MCM) actually unlocks extra features when it’s set up correctly, like dynamic product retargeting, Instagram Shop sync, better catalog optimization, and conversion tracking. So even if your consultant says skip it, I’ve seen stores boost ROAS just by tweaking how the feed connects with the pixel + catalog inside MCM.

If you’re already getting Meta sales, that’s actually the fastest way to...
