All things Shopify and commerce
Good day
I would like to ask if you have ever experienced that you downloaded an application that you do not know much about and then it billed you a huge amount? It happened to me with Auto Ds. now they want me to pay $248.70
Unfortunately, it was my fault for downloading the app without knowing anything about their billing, but I really can't afford to pay $248.70. what should I do to avoid it? So far I've only uninstalled the app, but I don't know what will happen if I don't pay. Can someone please advise me how to avoid payment?
Hi @jirkakuta
Thank you for the screenshot and for the details about the situation you are in. If the billing invoice has already been issued, then removing the app from your store may not stop the further attempts as resolving this bill. If you are seeing this charge on your billing invoice in your admin under Settings > Billing > Bills then the charge will continue attempting for 28 days and your store may be frozen if the bill is not paid in that time.
What you need to do is contact the app developer to ask them to cancel the pending charge, if they are able to. App fees are set by the developer and refunds are up to their sole discretion.
You can contact the app developer through the app store, and based on the name you provided and the screenshot, I believe this is the app in question: AutoDS All‑In‑One Dropshipping.
It looks like they offer a 14 day free trial before moving to a paid plan, which means you had 14 days to test the app and remove it from your store before the billing period started.

I am having the same problem as this. If i do not pay and already canceled my account with autoDS, you said it will pause my store. If i dont pay within the time will it do anything to my banking account or just my store?
Hey, @TylerB2!
Your banking account will not be affected if you are unable to pay for your invoice. As Shay previously mentioned, your store will go into a frozen state. There's more information on that here.
We encourage reaching out to AutoDS support so they can look into the charge for you. We cannot guarantee they will be able to reverse this, but I know they will be happy to help.

I’ve had the same problem and when I’ve tried to get support from auto ds it’s trying to charge me. How do I fix this and will they stop trying to charge me.
hi jirkakuta, I'm having the same problem you are having just wanter to ask you did you solve this problem? and if you did is it possible to tell me how you did it.
thanks
did you you figure anything out
I had the same problem, but then I found out that after my 14 day free trial, the YEARLY Trial is automatically picked for you. Fortunately, it is easy to change it to a monthly trial.
Hope this helps 🙂
