All things Shopify and commerce
I've noticed that our automated emails for checkout abandonments aren't going out to customers who experience payment failures of any kind (like a 'card declined' situation). Based on my experience selling through Shopify, these issues often get resolved when customers make another payment attempt. It seems to be a communication glitch from the platform, and unfortunately, it happens more frequently than I'd like to acknowledge. However, our current automation system is overlooking these scenarios.
Is there a way we can set up an automation to ensure that checkout abandonment emails are sent to these customers as well?
Hi,
I am facing the same issue with my store.
The customers whose card payments are declined enter the abandoned checkout process but the email is not triggered due to some reason. Recently I found many such abandoned checkouts like that and they have not reattempted the payment process due to which I lost all those customers.
Did you find any solution to this issue?
Thanks,
Diana
I have the same issue, any workarounds you guys been using ? It seems you cant manually trigger the abandoned checkout flow on that particular customer either
