Available quantity instead of On hold in variable product view on iOS App

Hi All,

Sometimes we need to check quickly the availability of a variable products.

Before Shopify iOS app was updated, in product view we could see the available quantity.
Now we can only see "on hand" stock but it is very useless for us.

Anyone have the same problem?

Yes. Same for us. The most confusing and pointless update I have seen. When would we ever need to see something that has been sold when looking at our stock?

@Meek , I contacted shopify support and seems that nothing is possible to do at moment.
For us is a huge problem due to have a very fast rotation of products and we sell both online and in-store.

Hope someone will listen our feedback because we're really plan to leave the platform at this point.

I also called the support today and they have absolutely no idea about the update or what I was talking about. Sums it up really.

just discovered that new inventory system is not pulling pickup orders from on hand inventory. Looks like it does not do so until the customer picks up the item. Being that we have run store and online stock we have to reconcile every day. This will make the inventory off unless they pick up same day which happens maybe 50% of the time

Crazy. It is almost like that don't know how any of us run a business? Why would it ever make sense to count sold items in a snapshot of stock. Honestly terrible.

Some businesses sell before making the item. So that means they wont fulfil for weeks whilst they make the item? Why would it make sense to have 'on hand'? Crazy.
