Average Session duration of 0 seconds in analytics

Hi, my clients store is getting many 0 second sessions in his analytics sessions report. Can anyone provide any insight into why or what causes this?  I'm assuming it is bot traffic and if it is, is there anyway to prevent it?

Same exact issue. the site is new, and gets upto 50 visits a day, with almost all of them lasting 00.00 seconds. Trying to figure out same problem! Have you had any luck with the answer? Thanks!
