I registered and received a sale tax permit from Texas, but I am having a hard time figuring out what the 'Sales Tax ID' that Shopify is asking for is. Would this be the Taxpayer / Vendor # I keep seeing on my Texas Comptroller account?
The Shopify Sales Tax ID would be your "Taxpayer number" in Texas. I believe the Shopify Sales Tax ID field is a dummy field and you can put any value there and it would not make a difference.
