baseline theme- new sale price colour is transparent; want it to be red!

hi! pls help- 

i have the baseline template and i have an upcoming sale. i completed the steps for the price to be struck-through and then a new price comes up. but the problem is that the new price is transparent/white: can't be seen. 

i have tried custom css, edit code everything, nothing is working! cleared cookies & removed hidden unused parts also- pls help. what to do?
