All things Shopify and commerce
I am using Printify for order fulfillment. My home address is listed as the default "location" and I cannot delete it. Printify is listed in locations, as well, but again, my home address is marked as the default.
Hi Holly, you can update your address by first going to Settings > Locations. You will see the "main" address, which is the address you entered when setting up your account. This is the address that Printify will by default pull from.
You can also change the address within your Printify account. By clicking on your avatar > My Account. If you don't want to use your home address, I would recommend getting a P.O. Box or a co-working space that offers mailing/address services.
Hope this helps.

Hey, @HollyV! Welcome to Shopify Community!
Before you're able to delete a default location, you need to set a different default location first. To do this, you can go through the following steps:
After setting a new default location, you can proceed to delete the previous default location with the steps below.

Hi and thank you! It appears I do not have a "change default location" button. ?
My pleasure, @HollyV!
Because you only have one location on the Locations page, you can either add another one to set as the default address (the Change default location button will appear then) or simply edit the existing address to a different one if you have no intention to use your home address.
Since you're using the Printify app to fulfill your products, your default location will not be visible to your customers. Printify uses their address as the return address on the shipping label unless you set a custom address in your Printify settings. If you're worried that your home address will be disclosed, you can rest assured that it won't, however, you always have the option to change the default location and remove your home address for good measure. The only time your default location will be visible is when you ship products yourself and purchase shipping labels through the Shopify admin, as this will be used as the return address.

Thank you again. I guess I'm still a little confused. If I change the existing address or enter another one, what is the new address? I mean, if I use Printify and one of their 3rd party shippers, am I supposed to enter their physical address? You see where my mind is hung up? Lol
Hi. So I think I understand correctly. Basically, I don't need to do anything - is that correct? As you said, the default location will not print or show up anywhere the customer can see it. Because I'm using Printify, no further action is needed??
I have a similar question. Should we just ignore the "default location?" If we're using Printify perhaps there is no option to set another default address?
Hey, @Arbi! Welcome to Shopify Community!
That is correct. As mentioned in my reply above, the default address will not be visible to your customers since you use Printify, so you can disregard it. As your products are set to be fulfilled by the app, the system assumes that the product will be shipped by them so your default address will not be used.
