We haven't found an easy way to view what products have sold and need reordering.
We can run a sales report, but that shows a list of the sales, then we have to manually filter and adjust the spreadsheet to work out the quantities of an item that has sold and hence needs re-ordering.
Hoping there is a better way to do it within Shopify?
Any help would be appreciated 🙂
You can see the sales data when editing a product in shopify admin. It is in the section of Insights, which is just near the Product status part. I can see it in my $79.99 plan, but not sure in $29.99 plan.
Hi @MowerSport - you can use an app like the BeProfit Profit Tracker app to very easily view the quantity of products sold in a set time period without having to play around with tons of filters and spreadsheets.
As you can see in the screenshot of one of our demo stores below, the Products page in the BeProfit app automatically shows you precisely how many sales you've made of each and every product you have in your store according to the date range you select (see the top-right corner of the image).
Beyond simply seeing how much of each product you've sold, BeProfit gives you a range of advanced filters (and the product search bar) to narrow your selection of products if you're particularly interested in seeing how much you've sold of this or that product. Plus, you can even export a full record of your product data in CSV format if you want to use it elsewhere - though BeProfit also gives you the ability to create & export custom reports right from the app.
Check it out, let me know if you have any questions!
$50USD per month for the basic Be Profit account is a little bit on the pricey side for something that should be simple to obtain via Shopify.
Hopefully there is a more cost effective or free solution to this basic request.
Hi @MowerSport - we do have a Free Plan for very small stores and a Basic Plan starting at $20/month as a yearly payment (or $25/month as monthly payments). Plus you can try whichever plan you want for 7 days FREE.
Claudia here from Better Reports.
I believe our app Better Reports can help you with this.
We can create a sales report showing the total quantity sold by product and variant name in a specific time frame.
In addition to this, Better Reports has more than 60 built-in reports available out of the box that cover many common use-cases for merchants. You can schedule reports to run at set frequencies to your email or Google Drive or export the reports in CSV, Excel or PDF format.
I encourage you to install Better Reports and start your free 14-day trial and I'll be happy to set this up for you.
