Hello all- I just received an email from shopify@shopifypartnersteam.com, claiming that due to a BRM violation, my account was at risk of being closed. Is this a legitimate email?

Do not interact with the email or it's links, disable image loading in your email client.
If you interacted with the email or clicked any links, or shared any account information then change passwords and use two factor authentication.

And take further action to protect yourself with education.
Realize if you even have to ask something like this is scam your susceptible to more subtle sophisticated scams that aren't so blatant.
Look at local business colleges, or online for cybersecurity courses for business people, preferably with with emphasis on scams.

Thank you. I didn’t click on anything, and can usually spot scams easily. The number of people having their shops close due to violations, made me question this. Plus the domain name was close enough for pause.
