Bulk Editor - Ability to set default columns

Hi, is there a way to create a set default view when I select Bulk Editor.  I only ever use the same selection of columns. Every time I run a new search for a product and select Bulk Editor, I have to select all the columns that I need again.  Its impacting my workflows as I have thousands of different products and I would like to be able to set my own default list to make it much more efficient.

Plus, I notice that the "Price" column has been removed from Bulk Editor.  I will address that in a separate post.

Thanks

Hi @Annie_E

At the moment, Shopify doesn't offer a built-in way to save a custom default view or column set for the Bulk Editor. Each time you open it with a new search or product group, the editor resets to its default layout. I agree this can interrupt your workflow and it's a common request from many store owners.

That said, here are a couple of practical tips that might help:

  • Workaround: If you regularly edit the same set of products, try creating a manual collection or a saved search (using tags or filters), then open that group in the Bulk Editor. While the columns won't stay saved, this at least gives you quicker access to consistent product groups.
  • Feature request: I'd highly recommend submitting this as feedback to Shopify (via the Help Center or directly from the admin dashboard). The more people who request it, the higher the chance it'll be considered for future updates.

Let me know if you’d like help with workarounds or automation tools (like using CSV exports/imports or Shopify apps) to speed things up in the meantime. Always happy to help!

Thanks so much.  I tried lodging feedback today but got very frustrated in where to find the correct medium.

I initially was referred to the Help Center and did a "search" but their help articles referred me back to the Admin Dashboard, who promptly referred me back to the Help Center, and the loop kept continuing. The Support articles were either outdated or incorrect. In the end I contacted a Shopify Agent who said they would advise the developers on my behalf.

Thanks for reaching out.
