Bulk replace images on multiple products

Hi there, 

We are looking for a way to overwrite (replace) an image that we use on 1000+ products.
we bulk updated all the images in a batch in photoshop and we are looking to avoid deleting image "02.jpg" and then uploading the new version a 1000+ times.

I know that there is a way to bulk upload via CSV, but is there also a way to bulk replace?

Would love some help as it would save me hours upon hours of work.
