Buy 10 Products get a discount on the 11th

Hello again! We're in the process of moving our POS system over completely to Shopify! That's why I have so many questions posts in such a short amount of time lol. Our old POS system had a built in program where if a customer bought 10 books within 1 year, they would get credit applied to the 11th one. This wasn't limited to just one purchase either, the program would search through all previous transactions to keep track of how many had already been bought- and how far away the customer was from the next discounted book.

Anyone know of anything in Shopify that could do something similar? I've looked at a few discount apps, but nothing quite has the same extent... any help would be much appreciated!

We could definitely build out an app that does this! I would love to sync up to get a better idea of the requirements. It seems like it would be valuable to a lot of people!
