All things Shopify and commerce
Hi I applied BOGO50 (Buy 1 get another 50% off) on the products of my website. but for some reason its causing a lot of anomalies in the cart and checkout. for example, if i add 4 iems under this discount i get 2 products at BOGO50. but when i go to checkout, one of the item goes missing. and when i come back to cart, the item is missing from cart at that time as well. I dried to make "Set a maximum number of uses per order" equals 4. nothing is working. however if i deactivate the discount everything works fine.
Hi, @ahmedkhubaib!
Welcome to Shopify Community. I'd be glad to support you with your question today.
This certainly sounds like a strange experience, so I'd like to rule out any local errors before anything else. Can you please try the following troubleshooting steps:
Though it does sound like something deeper is going on, this will help us further narrow down the issue and speed up our investigation. At that point if the issue persists, I'd love to recreate the experience on my end. To do so, please provide the following:

Hi Olivia,
Thankyou for the promp response.
The url to the page is:
https://fitdelis.com/collections/single-bags/products/perform-chocolate
Now the usecase that i am stuck at is. You select 3 mixed berry flavours and one vanilla. In the cart you will see everything working fine, but once you go to checkout you will see that one of the mixedberry pouch has been dropped off. Once you go back to the cart you will see that there as well.
This is an automatic discount
Thank you so much for your reply, @ahmedkhubaib!
I've been running further tests on my end to replicate your experience, and I am unable to recreate it with our built in Automatic Discount feature. With that being said, I do want to rule out any potential theme issues.
Have you tried this functionality using an unedited version of your theme yet? You can do so by going to Admin > Online Store > Themes > Add theme > customize (to add products) > preview. Be sure not to publish this theme as it should only be for testing purposes.

Was your 'buy x, get y' discount an automatic discount? If so, we had the same issue with our website and found out that it was because the checkout button was coded as a <button> rather than an <a>. Switching our checkout to <a href="/checkout"> solved the problem for us.
