Can anyone spot an issue in this CSV? (Validation failed: You need to add option values for Color)

Hi 🙂 I'm trying to import a CSV file to my shop but the following error is shown:

  • Validation failed: You need to add option values for Color

Here's the model I'm using for all of my products:

You need to fill all the color columns of products till the end. If you have any concerns please let me know.

I have the same issue. I tried filling all the color value column but I got errors for the color "black" (for example) already exists

Hi @FatimaZahra 

Without seeing your CSV file to troubleshoot the error itself, I can only guess as to what the issue is. If you have your CSV file laid similarly as the one that OP originally shared, the issue is most likely that the Variant Name and Value columns are most likely not accurately setup. To showcase what I mean, here is a sample from a multi-variant item on my test store:

Option1 Name column only requires the first field to be filled in for each set of product. The next column which provides the values for that variant style needs to be filled in for all variants. In my sample product there are 2 variant choices for this product, the first one is the container size (Necklace, Jar, Bathtub and Digital) and then the color (Unicorn, Blue, Red, Guide).

I highly recommend creating one of your products in your store admin and then exporting it as a template for other products with multiple variants, it's a great way to be sure you are formatting your CSV properly.
