Can a customer lodge a dispute transaction with their bank if they failed to read the T&C and are not eligible for refund on one of the items they purchased? Find it hard to believe that their bank will initiate a chargeback on this.

While receiving a chargeback is never ideal, there are various different steps you can complete to help manage them. If you haven't done so already, I'd encourage you to check out our this guide for those details. The best thing you can do however, is to provide evidence to help support your claim and chances of winning. To learn more about the type of evidence you should include, you can check out our Chargebacks & Inquiries document. Shopify however, does not play a role in the decision process of chargebacks nor do we have the ability to revert them.
