Can customers upload a "pdf" file on my website for custom orders?

Hi I wanna know if there is an option that customers can upload a PDF file to their order before clicking add to cart 

Will rather like it if it can be done just by coding or a free app😉.

But anything is appreciated.

Be aware file uploads via line-item-properties only works from the product page before that product is added to the cart, then that file only carries through with orders that are placed.

So even at a minimum they would need a free product in the cart to be able to do an upload and still go through the checkout process.

Apps are generally the go-to solution for a feature like this and would be more cost-effective rather than hiring a coding expert. I suggest trying out an app first, seeing how it works then re-evaluating implementing a custom solution down the road.

• King Product Options - Create an unlimited amount of custom product fields including text, numbers, calendars, checkboxes, and dropdown menus.

• Product Options and Customizer - Add unlimited variants to your product pages: text boxes, drop-down menus, checkboxes, file upload fields, swatches, calendar dates & more.

@Moira We are a printing store so we want that customers should be able to upload there file that is ready to print and most of the apps that  I checked are for print on demand and it requires a jpg or png file I'm looking for PDF one.

The King Product Options allows PDFs to be an upload option, you can also specify the file size. You will just need to change the file type within the app from "image" to "All":

@sblum - did you find a solution for your print shop?  We are looking for something similar and your post came up while searching.  I, too, am finding mostly POD items and not what I'm actually looking for. Thanks so much.
