Is it possible to get my tax documents if my store is inactive?
Hi, @mindityndall!
Welcome to Shopify Community. I'd be glad to support you with your question today.
Depending on your region and jurisdiction, there may be varying thresholds that would qualify you for tax documentation such as a 1099K form in the United States. In general this threshold is $20,000 USD and a minimum of 200 transactions, however, a variety of states have significantly lower thresholds so it's best to know your tax obligations.
To confirm if you qualify, make sure to check your country and regional requirements as per our official help documentation. For those stores that have active Shopify accounts, this information will be automatically made available to the Account Owner under Finances > Payouts > Documents. They will receive an email once this document is ready.
For inactive stores you will need to connect with our Live Support team for further support with accessing these documents.
Warm regards,
