All things Shopify and commerce
Hi is there anyway possible to revert back to single origin shipping?
Ever since I made the switch it has totally screwed up my store i.e. double charging for shipping, local pick up doesn't work between my 2 businesses.
I just don't need it.
Can this be done at all I have read heaps of post all complaining about the same issues.
Please help Shopify.
Hi @LBB67 Go to the settings click on shipping and delivery and then you can change the Shipping rates, profiles, zones, local delivery & pickup point etc settings as per your need.
I hope this will work for you!
I think you will need to contact Shopify support requesting to disable multi-origin shipping.
Thank you would it be possible for you to send me the link? As I cannot find the email support page.
@LBB67 You can contact the support team with this URL - https://help.shopify.com/en/support/login
Contacted support but no one could help me out they just kept stating the obvious to me. Every solution they gave me I already tried and it failed. Looks like they don't even know how to fix it.
Hi Dave,
Thank you for the reply.
Here is why I want to revert back
I have 2 stores that sell different items but all products are on one website. They are basically 15 metres / yards away from each other. I charge a flat rate for shipping and allow pick up from 1 store (due to them being so close to each other). Since I have switched over I have experienced many problems i.e double charging my customers for shipping when they are purchasing from both stores, not allowing pick up if they purchase from both stores at once. When I was a single origin shipping store this would never happen.
I have been told many solutions but to no avail. I was told to make stock available in both stores which is stupid as they are totally different and the continuous stock taking would make me mad. I recently purchased a local pick up app that allows my customers to collect their purchase when they buy from both seperate stores. But it still does not fix the double shipping because shopify charges as if they are two different identities. I am constantly refunding double charged shipping and constantly apologising to my customers for this stupid shopify error that cannot be reverted back.
Anyway it does not matter in the end we have decided to close one store and combine into the other. I just thought shopify could fix my problem ASAP as we don't close the other store for another 2 months yet.
