Can I use USD store currency and EUR bank account on Shopify Payments?

Hello,

I have my store currency in USD because I would like to import products in the US, but I am located in Europe. Shopify Payments does not allow me to add an USD bank account, only my local currency and EUR.

Can I have the bank account in EUR and my store currency in USD? Will Shopify Payments automatically convert it? Thank you very much for the time.

Hi @stefan25 ,

Yes, you can have your bank account in EUR and your store currency in USD on Shopify. Shopify Payments will automatically convert the payment from USD to EUR at the current exchange rate and deposit the funds into your EUR bank account.

However, keep in mind that there may be additional fees associated with currency conversion, depending on your bank's policies. It's best to check with your bank to see what their fees are for currency conversion.

Also, make sure to set your pricing in USD and not EUR, as this will ensure that your customers are charged in the correct currency and will avoid any confusion or issues with currency conversion.

I hope this helps, and please let me know if you have any further questions!

Regards,

Hassan
