All things Shopify and commerce
all right everybody I’ve been looking online for the last few weeks to answer this question. I have QuickBooks online and Shopify is integrated, but the inventory is only one way meaning that if Shopify deducts a product, it will transfer to QuickBooks but not from QuickBooks back to Shopify, if I add an additional product on Shopify after the initial sync with QuickBooks, It will not sync the new products either. I run an online ecommerce, coffee specifically and I can’t or my cpa figure out why this is happening. Before adding yet another app that nickles and dimes the sbo to death, ITS A PRODUCT NOT A SERVICE STOP WITH THE MONTHLY FEES, there has to be a way to:
1. Get products AND inventory to talk both ways.
2. manage inventory IE bags, green coffee, roasted coffee and have it all deduct accordingly. Example I buy 152# green, I roast 35# (this gets deducted from green and add to total roasted amount). Someone buys 12oz, this gets deducted from roasted coffee AND the bag(s) or sticker(s) get deducted from the same transaction.
We have similar needs and use myworks sync for our store. It's a two-way integration so data is synced both ways between shopify and quickbooks, that will solve your issue. I am a bit puzzled by your comment on the monthly fees though 😅 you get what you pay for…if you need an ongoing service that works well and continues to sync this type of data, it’s not going to be free or a one-time charge.
