I'm a bit lost with how the first line should be 'translated' so it matches Shopify format. I've attached example file.

Hey @karambucha ,

I can help you convert your CSV into the correct Shopify format!

Shopify requires a specific structure for CSV imports. Here’s a basic rundown of the required columns for the Shopify format:

  1. Handle - A unique name for each product (used in URLs). Lowercase, no spaces (use hyphens).
  2. Title - The product's name.
  3. Body (HTML) - Product description (supports HTML).
  4. Vendor - Product vendor or brand name.
  5. Standardized Product Type - A product category recognized by Shopify.
  6. Custom Product Type - A custom category you choose.
  7. Tags - Keywords associated with the product, separated by commas.
  8. Published - Indicates if the product should be available (TRUE or FALSE).
  9. Option1 Name, Option1 Value, Option2 Name, etc. - Product options like size or color.
  10. Variant SKU - SKU for the variant.
  11. Variant Grams - Product weight in grams.
  12. Variant Inventory Tracker - Inventory management method (shopify, blank, or null).
  13. Variant Inventory Qty - Quantity in stock.
  14. Variant Inventory Policy - Choose 'deny' or 'continue' if sold out.
  15. Variant Fulfillment Service - Fulfillment method.
  16. Variant Price - Price for each variant.
  17. Variant Compare at Price - Original price for discounting.
  18. Variant Requires Shipping - TRUE or FALSE.
  19. Variant Taxable - TRUE or FALSE.
  20. Variant Barcode - Product barcode.
  21. Image Src - URL of the product image.
  22. Image Position - Order of images.
  23. Image Alt Text - Alternative text for the image.

If you share the first line of your CSV, I can suggest specific mappings for Shopify’s format. Otherwise, start with the columns above as headers, and add your product details accordingly.

Thanks @rajweb !

Some of the fields were confusing to me and I wasn't sure how to map them properly. Things like having more than one image, for example.

I attached the file to my original post. But also, this is the first line of the CSV file:
