Can't Add Items to Cart with Bundle Builder

I recently downloaded an app called Section Store which features a lot of apps. I downloaded an app within it called Bundle Builder 3. I'm using it to make a Build a Box page on my website. When I add a bundle to a box, I press Add to Cart nothing gets added. I'm able to add other items on different pages to my cart but I can't add anything that is connected to the Bundle Builder section.

I thought the reasons are:

  • App Integration Issue: Bundle Builder may not be fully integrated with your theme.
  • JavaScript Errors: Conflicts in JavaScript can prevent the "Add to Cart" button from functioning.
  • Theme Customizations: If your theme has customizations, they may interfere with the app.

And here is a solution: Check for JavaScript errors using Developer Tools (Inspect --> Console) on your Build a Box page. If errors appear, it may indicate missing functionality. Test with a default theme to rule out theme customizations. If the problem persists, contact the app's support team with details and console logs.

Hey Trey!

It's tough to diagnose the problem without a link to your store.

I suggest emailing the Section Store team at help@section.store — I'm sure they'd be happy to help!

You could also try some other bundle builder apps:

As the previous answers already mentioned, it's hard to diagnose the problem without knowing all the context, but here are a few things that might be causing the app to not work:

  • Are you using Online Store 2.0 theme? I'm pretty sure that the app you are mentioning is only compatible with Online Store 2.0. themes
  • Are you using a custom theme? If yes, maybe the theme hasn't been properly built and the app can't connect to it.
  • Do you currently have another page builder or similar app installed on your store? If yes, the apps might be conflicting with each other.

If you want to keep using the Section Store app, your best option is probably to reach out to their support and explain them your situation (what are you trying to do, what theme are you using, etc.)

Your other option is to try another app that allows "Build a box" feature. Here are the few app that I have experience with and can personally recommend:

  • Easy Bundles - This app allows you to create multi-step "Build a box" bundles where customers can choose products from the list of products that you provided at each step. The app also supports many other things like setting conditions, subscriptions, advanced bundle customization, etc. It's a great app, but it may be a little pricey to start since the cheapest plan is 49$/month.
  • Kitenzo ‑ Full Page Bundles - this app is similar to Easy Bundles features-wise. The only thing I find a little less intuitive and beginner-friendly in this app are layout customization options. The app has a "Design editor" that allows you to change how your bundle builder looks, but for all the bigger changes it will require some coding knowledge. This app pricing starts at 25$/month + 1.25% off all bundle sales generated through the app.
  • NeatBundles: Easy Mix & Match - this is actually the app that I've been working on for the past 6 months. It doesn't have some of the advanced features like subscriptions or analytics, but it should be enough to get you started with a few sales. Also, it's priced much more affordably at just 7$/month without any additional fees. There is also a 30-day free trial which should be more than enough to test the app. If you are interested in providing some frequent feedback about the app, we can come up with some kind of a deal and let you use the app for free. Email me at jure@neatmerchant.com if you are interested in something like that.

Best of luck,
