Hi Everyone,

 

This morning, we noticed that we are unable to create a draft order for our shop. This goes for adding a custom item or items that are already in our catalog. Thus, we are unable to send invoices to customers etc.

When we go to add an item to a draft order it just says "Server Error" in red. We've been on Shopify for 8 years and haven't seen this before.

 

Checking into see if other store owners are experiencing this. We don't see any mention of this on the Shopify Status page. It looks like something going on in the background, not a shop setting. 

 

Any insight would be appreciated.

Hey there Italia-Straps!  Yes, I am experiencing this also.   Whether it is an existing item, or a custom item, I get the red "Server Error" message when trying to add an item to a draft order.

Our Developers are aware of an issue that has been causing a server error to generate when trying to create draft orders within the Shopify Admin. Our Teams are actively investigating, and are keen on restoring things to expected functionality. Thanks again for reporting these errors to us!

Had this problem all day today.. Tried multiple different browsers. Pretty ridiculous considering Shopify plus $2K per month fees to run. Hope its fixed soon, can not run business..

Hi, @joshua_eb! Thanks for the feedback! I'm entirely human, as are my replies! I do appreciate the comparison to ChatGPT, however! Maybe I need to take some time to look how I can avoid being viewed as an AI, or 'ChatGPT', and instead be seen for the human I really am! 🥲

Hello, we also received this message here just yesterday: Aug. 14th 2024,  while trying to turn a Draft Order into a unpaid order to be paid at a later date.  Logged out, cleared cash, deleted old draft and made new, etc. ... nothing works? 

Any new advice?

If you are unable to create a Draft Order successfully, we will need to take a further look into the error that you are receiving. Since we are unable to authenticate you over the Community forums due to the sensitive information that needs to be shared, we are unable to view the specifics. In this case, it would be best to speak with our live support by navigating to the Help Center.  

 

Once you arrive at the Help Center, you will need to make the virtual assistant be aware that you would like to Speak with support and you will be connected with a Support Advisor accordingly.
