All things Shopify and commerce
Hello guys! I access my store with pc normally, never used the shopify APP although it has been downloaded to my iphone for a while.
Today I was trying to access my store via the Shopify APP while travelling on the bus and found that I can login to my account page (choose which store to access) but can't access to my selected store, the msg "error: HttpStatusCode418 - client error" keep poping out after each time I've gone through the login autheticate process. Very
Am I missing something in settings or is it merely a bug of the APP?
Thanks
Hello @AvocadoShake!
Thanks for getting in touch and sorry to hear that you're having trouble with the mobile app, not to worry, I am sure we can get to the bottom of it! Just to check, are you still experiencing this issue?
The screenshot is super helpful, so thanks for that! Can you try the below troubleshooting steps for me and see if that issues a fix?
Hopefully, those steps should issue a fix for you, but do let me know if this is still happening to your device.
In the meantime, I'd love to hear more about your business if you have some time?

Hi,
We're also encountering this issue as well. However, it's happening on our backup iPad, which is an iPad Air gen1. The highest iOS we can run on this iPad Air is 12.5.5, and when we tried to reinstall the Shopify App (green), the App Store tells us we can only download the version that works with our IOS (see image). Just wondering if there's a workaround for this since the Shopify POS app (blue) still works.
Thanks in advance.
Hey @HawaiianPieCo!
Thanks for hopping on this thread. Sorry to hear you're experiencing the same issue.
It looks like you're running an outdated client either mobile OS, or app version. You need to update your mobile device and your app as per the requirements in our help docs here.
The last supported version for our app is 13.6 and the iOS app version is 9.50.0 - there would be no alternative workaround for this, however you can still use last compatible version.
Let me know if you have any questions!

Hi,
Thank you for the response. Yeah, it just looks like our backup iPad is too old to support the Shopify app. Guess we will have to consider getting a new one soon if we want to run a second register.
Thank you for providing this information.
This is so annoying. What is going on with this code. Everything is updated but keeps kicking us out and we can’t use pos!!!
