All things Shopify and commerce
Hey guys.
I have a supplementary feed to Google Merchant Centre to provide additional details. It works for sending things like the google shopping title and product details, but when I add a new column for product_highlight, it doesn't seem to pick up the information I give it.
I've added the column header as "product_highlight" and created some highlights like: "Highlight one", "Highlight two", "Highlight three", "Highlight four" -- for some reason, these aren't showing in the Raw feed attributes list.
Is there anything silly I might be missing? Thanks.
Rosalind.

This is an accepted solution.
Remove the double quotes.
Separate each value with a comma only.

It just had to be that simple, thank you. I wish Google would update their example on their website, as I just copied what they had, and it didn't work.
This worked. Thank you so much.
I also faced this problem. I created a field Custom data/ Products/ Product metafield definition
Google: Product highlight
mm-google-shopping.product_highlight
type: single line text
I filled in this field in the product (separating highlights with commas), but in Merchant Center all highlights are in one Product highlight field. That is, Merchant Center does not divide them into different Product highlights. Thank you!
That is because content API does not support comma separated values.
What you can do, is use GMC attribute rules, use the modify function and extract the data by separating it using a comma.

Thank you very much for the answer! But I don't think I can do it without help. That's the stage I got to and got stuck. Could you help me with this?
And one more thing, by the way, I don't see Google Shopping showing data from product_highlight in the Google Shopping product search. It seems that he showed it half a year ago, but now something has changed in their algorithms, or am I confusing something? Thank you very much!
