Can we include sales tax in product prices instead of charging customers directly?
Hi there - Shopify is notifying us that we need to start collecting sales tax in some states. I was wondering - are we allowed to NOT collect sales tax from customers (i.e. include it in price) but still pay the state as if we collected the tax? Or are we required to actually label and charge the tax directly to customer and NOT include it in price?
Our products are already all marked as "do not collect tax on this product" yet Shopify still saying we need to collect sales tax.
