Can we set a notification for when product is out of stock?

Hello, y'all! 

I would like to know if there's a way to trigger an email or alert whenever we have a product going out of stock so the purchasing team can act on it. Let's suppose, send an email when a product has only 1 or 2 left.

We have an automation template that will allow you to do exactly this:

It works by triggering every time inventory is adjusted and then kicking off a workflow. In this particular case it's sending a slack message but we coudl set that up to send an email or sms or other types of alerts.

I've tried a couple solutions for this and thought I'd mention an easy, free option. The Shopify Flow app from Shopify has a template for this that has worked well for my clients. This week, for example, we set up one of their templates (screenshot below) to notify the client whenever their inventory reached 5 units.

It was an easy setup (wizard approach) and the flow worked like a charm by sending them an email confirming that one of the products hit the threshold today.
