All things Shopify and commerce
Hello all,
I am looking for an inventory management app that will track lot codes and integrate with Amazon. I sell dietary and nutritional supplements that must have lot codes tracked for each batch of manufactured goods. I have looked through and contacted many of the inventory apps here, but have not found one that tracks lot codes or has an option to do that.
Hey @Carefast ,
We recently launched Freshly! you can use it to assign batches/lot codes and expiry dates for each product variant. We don't integrate with Amazon yet but I'm happy to chat further about it! I'm the product designer on the app so let me know if you have any questions or specific requirements.
Hope this helps!

This is great I will look into it and contact you with any questions! Thank you so much!
Hi @Carefast,
We made a list of the best inventory management apps on Shopify, and many of them are connected to Amazon. Hope that the list can give you some good suggestions.
Cheers!
Thank you so much!
Hi @Carefast,
I realize this is an older thread, but I wanted to add a solution that might help others in the future — and in case you haven't found one yet.
Here are a few ideas that might help you approach it:
👉🏻 When new stock arrives from your manufacturer, it’s a good idea to assign the lot code as soon as it's received. This makes it easier to follow that specific batch as it moves through your warehouse, into Amazon, and eventually to your customers.
👉🏻 Since supplements often have expiration dates, you’ll want a system that can track these alongside the lot code. This way, you can prioritize older batches for sale (first-expiring, first-out) and avoid waste from expired stock.
👉🏻 If you’re fulfilling orders from multiple channels (like Amazon, your website, or wholesale orders), it’s helpful if your system can track which specific lot was sent to which customer. This makes it easy to pinpoint which customers got a specific batch in case of a recall.
One approach that works well for this kind of setup is using a warehouse management system with dedicated lot tracking features. For example, PULPO WMS offers tools for managing lot codes and expiration dates, and it works with Amazon too. It’s designed to handle the type of traceability you need for dietary supplements.
If you’d like more ideas, I’d be happy to offer additional insights. Lot tracking and expiration date management in ecommerce is one of those things that can seem complicated at first, but with the right setup, it becomes much easier to manage.
