Candy Store - Weighted Products

Hi all - I've seen the posts here about not being able to add variable pricing, so thought I'd check and see if there are any other candy stores here (or other store that has weighted products) and how you've overcome this challenge?  

I open in 2 days and am absolutely stumped this isn't an option. The variable pricing app isn't great either. The store I'm buying is busy and the staff might have multiple people waiting at any given time.  It also makes us manually shut off tax.
