I lost access to my store when I attempted to upgrade the plan, and now I can't access it. My account shows no stores attached, but my email is still associated with the store. I get the "Welcome Back" screen, but when I click on the store, I get an error message. I attempted the help center, but the chat option was worthless and kept going in circles. Can someone please help me regain access to my store?

follow these steps
Try accessing your store Admin panel directly :
1 From the screen you're on, instead of clicking on the store name, try going directly to your store's admin panel by typing :
https://cla-toy-share-store.myshopify.com/admin
This should bring you directly to the admin area of your store. If you're logged in and everything is functioning, it should bypass the issue you're encountering.
2 Log Out and Log Back In:
Sometimes, your session might be bugged. Try logging out entirely from your account, then log back in using the same credentials and access the store again.
3 Check if the Plan Upgrade is Stuck:
It's possible that your plan upgrade is stuck or incomplete, and that might be causing the issue. Head over to the billing section in the admin panel if you manage to access it to verify if the upgrade went through.
4 Contact Shopify Support Directly:
If these steps don’t work, and given your frustration with the Help Center chat, I recommend reaching Shopify through:

Thank you!!! I discovered that my email was not the primary one on the account, and it got disabled when I signed up for the upgraded plan. I tried the first link you sent in a different browser, figured out the primary account, and can access the store that way. I appreciate your response--it was much more helpful than anything I got from Shopify!
