Cannot manually add product to smart collection

Hi. Could you please assist me. I have tried to import my csv file with my products and I am getting this message. I have made sure the COLLECTION column is last on the sheet, ie after the COST. What else might I have done wrong? I'm not sure what a smart collection is.

Is it easier to remove the COLLECTION column and assign the products to a collection once they have been imported? Is this possible? 

Any guidance gratefully received. Thanks.

I am having the same issue. Were you able to get a response to the question? If so, how did it get resolved?

This is how Smart (Automatic) collections work. You cannot add/remove products into them one by one. It's Criteria based, that means it will include products meeting your defined conditions for this collection.

What you can do, is to remove the Collection column from CSV and just include the required criteria. Or, Go ahead and create another collection, but this time make sure it's manual then proceed with uploading your CSV to it.
