Captcha will not unenable; loops in error on live site

I turned off captcha in my site settings but am still being required to perform it whenever I try to join the mailing list. It also doesn't work; when you do the captcha test, it loops around and says:

This is on a live site, not test preview. Site url is marissazappas.com. I have no third-party apps that are related to newsletter registration.
