Hello,

I changed my homepage meta description quite a while ago. However, I'm not seeing the change reflected on the description that shows up underneath my website name when I do a Google search. Can anyone help explain/troubleshoot?

Hello @ineedcake

You index page manually, then check after 1 hour, because it's take time to reflect.

Hi @ineedcake,

Could you elaborate how long is "quite a while ago"?

Also, have you set up a Google Search Console for your Shopify store yet? That is the tool you need to communicate with Google about the presence of your store, what's on your store pages and how they are interlinked.

Once that is set up, you use the tool to inform Google after you make any changes. For new sites with practically no traffic, it can take up to 1-2 weeks to see the changes reflected on Google.

If you have not set up any Google Search Console account yet, it might take even longer.

If you need step-by-step instructions to set up an account, my detailed video would be helpful.

Best of luck,

Clarice

Hi Clarice,

It has been at least a couple of weeks.

I have recently tried to set up Google Console, but was stumped when it came to needing to submit a Sitemap.
