All things Shopify and commerce
I migrated from Prestashop where you could set up a variation (combination) for a product as a default. I see in Shopify there is no ability to set a default variation. It takes the first variation and makes it appear as the default when click on a product in the store. So then I am thinking there must be a way to reorder the product variations to put my default variation first. I see there is a way to reorder variation types, but I haven't found a way to do it with product variations. For example, if I have a necklace with the variations 18in nylon cord, 18in steel chain, 20in steel chain, 20in nylon cord and I would like to make 20in chain appear first, how could I do it? I have hundreds of products and can't imagine having to set them up all over again to have the variations show in a specific order. I've searched thru the posts and haven't been able to find an answer. Thank you.

Ok, I figured it out. What you have to do is click on the variations at the top and not the individual variations. Once you click on the variations at the top. It opens up a box where you can drag to change the order.
