Changing Shopify storefront from main domain to subdomain (and moving main domain to WordPress)

Since 2014, my store and main domain, www.roveandswig.com, has been hosted through Shopify (using rove-and-swig.myshopify.com). I want to keep my store with Shopify but switch it to a subdomain such as shop.roveandswig.com. The main domain will be moved to a different platform. I am seeking help/advice with how to change my Shopify store from the main domain to a subdomain to ensure:

1. everything is redirected properly
2. minimal negative SEO impact

I could only find one related discussion, but the person was just going to redirect their main domain to the subdomain, so it didn't apply to my situation. Thanks in advance for your help. 🙂
