All things Shopify and commerce
I have a shopify store, but not the upgraded account where I can have a separate store for wholesalers. I have created invoices for my wholesale orders and applied the appropriate discount. I need to tax the wholesale orders at a different rate than retail orders. Can I turn off sales tax, but apply a different tax rate to specific orders? I don't want to change the tax rate per product since it only applies to wholesale customers, not to retail customers.
Shopify is great at retail but there are many wholesale gaps. There are many apps that try to fix pricing or other one off concerns but fall short in other areas.
If you're still looking for a solution check out SellifyCRM which syncs products/orders with Shopify so you can continue to do fulfilment there but provides a full B2B experience purpose built for wholesale sales opposed to retail. You can setup individual tax rules for customers and even collect their resale certificates to store on their accounts if they are tax exempt. No theme updates required and no cludging together a series of apps. Connect Sellify to your store and provide wholesale accounts your B2B link and it just works. Plus it offers a full CRM, intuified reporting, custom quotes, etc. Everything you need to run a successful wholesale business. We have different plans tailored to the size of your business.
