All things Shopify and commerce
Hi everyone,
How do I check how much storage I've used, and preferably which categories are using the most storage (images, documents, etc.)? I've been hitting my file storage limit, and without that information, I can't make an informed decision on whether to delete images, change plans, or do anything else.
Thanks
Hi @ace003
Are you referring to space utilized on your Shopify store ?
Shopify does not provide a direct way to check your total storage usage or a breakdown by file type (images, documents, etc.)
You can go to:
If you have a lot of images, you can use apps like TinyIMG to compress these images.
or if you still have to use large files like pdf's etc. for your store, then you can use a CDN like Google drive to store files and then use links to point to the files rather than uploading them directly on to Shopify.
We hope this helps.
If there's a storage limitation, we should be able to know how close we are to hitting the limit. Maybe this is something your developers can work on for the next update.
Thanks
